Back to a school schedule!

Okay I know it's only day two, but Sofia's got the schedule down!  Noah, come on my little man!  No, I can't complain too much!  I start at 6:30pm.   We do our bath, pjs, brush teeth, prayers, I am very proud to say that Noah and Sofia both know their Our Father and Hail Mary!!!!  Then they each pick one book and I read it to them.  Then we give goodnight kisses and it's off to bed!  By this time it's 7 - 7:15pm.  Noah stays in his room and I take Sofi to her bedroom.  I will rock her for a song, both kids sleep with their IPODs on all night - it helps.  Then I lay her down and she's out!  It's been an hour and I still hear Noah rolling around and reading books.  I guess I am happy that at least he's in his room, in bed just reading different books.  Let's see how long this will last.  I am not worrying because I know soon enough it will catch up since he's up by 6:45am everyday!

Good night to all!

Summer comes to an end!

Well, school must start once again!  I am excited to start a new year and meet new students (7th graders) and see how my 8th graders have grown! I can't wait to push them to learn a second language (English)!  It's funny how many of the things I do with my little Noah I repeat with my 7th and 8th graders!  Of course I have to make it more "older kid"!

Well one Thursday I took it easy with my babies!  We went to our back yard and swam!  After we swam we had lunch with Papi (we took it to school).  The kids love to eat lunch in my classroom!  We then went to visit a friend she's got a new house!  The kids loved it because she has a "baby".  Isn't it funny how any child just a bit younger is always a baby!!

We then came home and napped! Simple easy day!  Next was off to school!  It was actually nice because I didn't have to get them up early or pack lunches!  My sister came over and babysat the kids!  She's so good with them!  They swam, rode bikes, and the highlight to them......PLAY DOUGH!!  Fun for them and long for me!  Once I came home they were very excited because they knew we were going to go to the high school football game!  Papi was announcing, so that was exciting!  Another plus to the kids was that their Tia Moni was going to cheer!!!  Go BBBRRRROONNCCCHHOSSS!!

Hasta muy pronto!

Indy Zoo Trip with Friends...

As I was putting the babies to bed last night Sofia says, "Mami we go to big zoo tomorrow please?" Then Noah jumps in saying, "YES mami the Indianapolis Zoo!  I'll stay in my bed and won't get up during the night."  Then Sofia jumps in, "I no cry mami!"  So of course, I say okay if we (Noah and Sofia) go to bed, stay in bed, and don't cry then we will go to the zoo tomorrow in the morning.  I was so tired and honestly I didn't want to go, but how could I say no to my angels after they tag teamed me like that!!!  All was quiet last night in the Masoodi house!!!

I texted my good friend Step to see if she and her boys wanted to join us.  She has Nathan (4yrs) and Cameron (2yrs).  They said yes, so it was going to be a playdate at the zoo!

We headed out this morning at about 9:30am and got there in about 1 hour!  The kids LOVED the silly sharks (they called them silly sharks).  They were silly because one shark kept jumping out of the water.  Then that shark looked like it was dancing and trying to climb on a rock!!  The kids were laughing so loud and couldn't stop!!  They enjoyed all the other ocean animals!  They also got up close and personal with the cheetahs!  One cheetah came up to the window, it really was amazing!  The kids were standing there with a cheetah in their face (just a window between them).

Finally we ended our trip with the same thing.......a train ride!!  They love riding that train and it's a great way to end our day!

We loaded up the van with the babies!  The boys were chatting the entire drive home!  Our pretty little princess was out with in 5 minutes!!!

Fab day, thank you god for my wonderful children and friends!!!

Adios!

Fun Home Summer Day!

Today was a simple day for many reasons!  The main reason why we had a low key day was because Miss Sofia didn't sleep very well and that is NOT like her.  She loves to sleep and normally sleeps 12 hours straight!  Well last night she slept 5 1/2 hours and then did 30 minutes here and 30 minutes there to total maybe 2 more hours!  Let's just say that papi and I didn't get to sleep!!!

Much to my surprise Sofia was in a good mood in the morning!  She started to melt down at about 1pm and I knew it was time for a nap!!  She napped about two hours, I was hoping for more - oh well!

Anyhow we were up and running out the door by 8:45am!  Did some shopping for Papi.  Then came home and swam for a while.  Soon all the cousins joined us and swam with us too!  We had lunch and then napped!!  We were up by 3:30 and had a snack!  Soon after we went to Tia Yanise's house for dinner!  The kids had fun and ate well!  They had spaghetti faces!!!  We left at 6 or so and came home to take baths!  Noah wore his new Toy Story pjs and Sofia wore her little red ridding hood pjs!!  The two books the kids picked were: The World of Dinosaurs and The Zoo Book!  They were ver good listeners tonight, only had to say criss cross applesauce to Sofi about 4 times!!! LOL!  They also did a very great job praying!  Sofia and Noah both know their Hail Mary and the Our Father!!!  Yeah!!

Well that was our wonderful day!!  Very peaceful, beautiful, and blessed!!  God has given me the two most cheerful and loving children!!

Buenas Noches!!

Something new!!

Well, I decided to start a blog.  The main reason is because I now understand just how fast life passes by!!  I understand that there is just too much to do in a day to try to keep a baby book for my babies, so I thought I would do the next best thing!  Make a blog for my babies!  I hope I do a pretty good job at this because I have never really done anything like this!

Summer is coming to an end now since school begins this Friday!  I was going to go to work today, but the sitter's babies are not feeling well.  The last thing we want is for my kids to get sick and then give it right back to hers!!  Noah, Sofia, and I had a nice day.  We went to shopping at Wal-mart, cleaned the van, had lunch with Papi, took a nap, hung out and had dinner with grandma Salazar, Tia Yanis, Tia Moni, and prima Ileana!

Noah and Sofia are now in bed and I'm still here waiting for papi to come home!  Nice "normal" day today!  Let's see what happens tomorrow!

Adios!
